Teaching has become my passion. I originally wasn’t sure that I would be any good at it until I was given the opportunity to teach my first Anatomy & Physiology class at the college level. At that point, I fell in love with teaching and am still amazed at the God- given gift I possess to simplify and teach difficult concepts.
I was inspired to start my own education consulting firm after years of tutoring, mentoring, teaching and seeing the struggles that students and parents have faced during the pandemic. I really love creating individualized tutoring plans for my students, guiding my high school students through the college preparation and selection process, as well as mentoring adult learners through the career preparation process. I am committed to helping students succeed and empowering them to move to their next level.
I am a proud graduate of Claflin University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I also attended the Citadel Graduate College, where I graduated with a Master of Arts in Biology in 2009 and a Master of Arts Teaching Secondary Education in 2017. I have also previously worked with career preparation and placement in my role as Academic Coordinator and Program Director at the college level.
